Learning outcomes
- Know how to critically evaluate Computer Science teaching materials in use in school practice
- Know how to discuss and design curricula and programming with regard to different study paths
- Apply general principles to devise, design, and test teaching activities on specific topics of Computer Science (defining framing in ministerial documents, setting goals and objectives, teaching methodologies, formative and summative assessment)
- Recognize the role of instructional technologies (both general and discipline-specific) in the design and development of discipline-specific instructional activities as a tool to support learning

Teaching the foundational ideas and essential knowledge of Computer Science through concrete activities
Instructional design in Computer Science
Basic principles in designing/developing activities and learning paths
Alignment between activities and expected learning outcomes (national indications and guidelines)
Assessment of learning in computer science
Computing-specific teaching methodologies
Analysis of proven computer science instructional pathways
Analysis of computer science textbooks and other materials
Application of design principles for the design and development of teaching activities on specific computer science content

Assessment methods
The acknowledgment of the course will be provided by means of the verification of the minimum percentage of attendance and the delivery of any exercises requested during the course. The evaluation of the learning of the teaching contents takes place at the same time as the final test for the acquisition of the qualification to teach in the competition class of the training course, provided for by Art. 9 of the Prime Ministerial Decree of 4 August 2023.
