Learning outcomes
The sense of such a seminar:
- a gym for the student interested in the themes of the "anthropocene"
- a desire to resume and bring the question of Venice into a less local context

With a strong interdisciplinary content, the seminar addresses issues of development and sustainability problems, yet adopting an historical perspective. The case of Venice presents will be the empirical focus of the seminar. Few situations perhaps share the same magnitude and variety of sustainability issues like Venice: environmental, economic, and social sustainability (between sea level rise, the Mose, tourist monoculture, depopulation, large ships and so on)
The 30-hour seminar, 4 Credits, will be included in the GIOCA (Graduate degree in Innovation and Organization of Culture and the Arts) activities, but will be open to other university degree courses, even with a maximum limit of 30 students, just to allow for better interaction.
The seminar is divided into 15 meetings of two hours each (according to a calendar being defined, however, in the period October-December 2022), and will make use of expert testimony in each of the meetings.
