Assessment methods
FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS: Erasmus students that are willing to attend classes of Theory of Structures should have at least a B1 level Italian language (it is a reccomendation, not a rule).
The exam consists of two written exams. The first one concerns the resolution of a hyperstatic continuous beam through the displacement method (duration 1.5 hour), while the second one concerns the resolution of a hyperstatic frame through the Cross method (duration 2 hours). For sufficiency it is necessary to perform exercises 1 and 2 correctly, paying particular attention to the trend of the moment diagram. The final evaluation is given by the average of the evaluations obtained in the two exams. Evaluation expressed out of thirty, minimum grade 18/30, maximum 30/30.
If a student is not satisfied with the grade obtained in a test can redo the written exam. At the end, the last written vote counts ONLY (not the best written!).
