Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is able to possess the basics that allow to recognize the pathologies of the skin and mucous.

Recognize the methods, from the simplest to the most complex. Excision and direct suture, grafts and flaps, indications regarding the post-op and the complementary therapies. To recognize the deformities of the face and mainly of the nose-oral area. Identify ithe ndications for the most appropriate treatment for correction and prevent any side effects.

Course contents

 PLASTIC SURGERY TEACHING PROGRAM:

Basic principles and techniques in reconstructive plastic surgery

Sutures, grafts, flaps - microsurgery.

Physiopathology burns, diagnosis and therapy

Malformative pathology of the face, breast, limbs:

Diagnostic classification and treatment principles

Radical oncology radicality and reparative methodology

Traumatology of the face

Regenerative medicine and surgery in plastic surgery - Autologous adipose tissue transplantation

Principles of Aesthetic Surgery - Eumorphic Plastic Surgery

Patient medical relationship in the treatment of Dysmorphopathies and Psychomorphological aspects

Teaching methods

The course will consist of 16 hours of lectures, , and 16 hours of internship .
Specific iconography will be projected to improve the learning.

Assessment methods

The evaluationat the end of the course consists on oral examination to evaluate the achievement of the following educational topics:
- recognition of diseases of the skin and soft tissues,
- recognition of the imperfections of the face and mainly the oral district,
- knowledge of the appropriate surgical methods, from the simplest to the most complex,
- knowledge of the post-operative course and complementary therapies.

Teaching tools

Frontal lessons, Projection of slides, attendance through practical training, suggested book texts.
Any further information may be processed outside the lessons timetable with those who explicitly request it.
