Learning outcomes
At the end of the module the student knows the methodology own research and is able to identify specific areas of intervention.
Course contents
The course introduces the methodological principles of research and
type of research in the scientific literature of
interest in nursing. At the end of the course the student should be
able to:
• understand the principles of research methodology;
• define the meaning of scientific research in the field of
nursing;
• describe the characteristics of the main research designs:
descriptive, observational and experimental.
• use the primary literature, and in particular studies of
treatment, diagnostic and etiological useful for improving nursing
practice;

• Definition of scientific research.
• The methodology of the research: objectives, questions,
hypotheses and research variables.
• The main research designs and the fundamentals of the research
protocol.
• Features of treatment studies, particularly RCTs.
• Features of studies diagnostic or sensitivity and specificity study.

1) Introduction to nursing
research,
written
test with 20 questions with 4 correct answers
1;
2) Models organizational and
managerial assistance 20 questions with 4 correct
answers 1;
3) Public law and health
organization, oral
exam.
On the same
day the written part is carried out and its
overcoming allows access to the oral part. Those who do not pass the
test must repeat it next in the appeal.
