Learning outcomes

The course aims at further examine, with a casistic and applicative approach, some interaction profiles between economy digitalization and working rights. As elsewhere, the regulative dimension is multilevel and therefore not able to leave out of consideration the European social rights in its diverse harmonization and policy components.

Course contents

1. New forms of business organization and work flexibility both in European social context and in national regulation dimension

- Temporary Business Association (ATI) and consortium

- Business networks

- Business digital platforms and fluid business

- Transnational posted workers, posted workers among networked companies, endo-group posted workers, posted workers among distinct companies

- On demand workers, just in time workers and staffing on line

2. The defining and disciplinary reconfiguration of independent workers, professionals, temporary labour and coordinated and permanent collaborations. Social security and insurance systems. Trial issues. Public contracts information and access.

3. Smart factory: Industry 4.0 and consequence on labour organization.

4. Smart working: hiring rules and applicative projections.

5. Privacy in company human resource management in the light of recent European and domestic rights developments.

6. Employees remote control in the era of service digitalization 

7. Not employed working providers labour safety

The reference texts will be indicated during class to the attending students by the professor at the beginning of the course.

The course will be articulated in front lessons by the professor, in class case studies discussions, and business testimonials
