Learning outcomes
The course it provides disciplinary knowledge, technical information for the proper management and conservation of documentary systems, with reference to the digital archives and the hybrid management and develops the skills and knowledge to manage processes within the networks. The student knows the principles of specific computer applications and processes within the network; management aspects of the transition to the archive computer. He knows how to develop and manage quality policies, effectiveness and efficiency; He knows how to manage and preserve the documentary data security.
Course contents
Management and retain information is a strategic requirement for public and private organizations.
The computer course archives, through a multidisciplinary approach, analyzes the current situation and future prospects of digital archives. It relates to the general principles and the basic lines of archival information, with reference to the instrumental and institutional aspects: the analysis of the emergence of information technology applied to archives until its doctrinal and scientific evolution.
It aims to show a general overview of information technology and its application with archiving and to provide students with the tools that will enable them to acquire critical skills in the approach with the individual software and management programs.
It aims to provide students with the theoretical, methodological and basic practical guidance for the understanding of issues relating to the formation, management and conservation of archives in the digital environment, not excluding those that emerge from the migration of digital support of the historical archives originated on traditional media, for the purpose of their use through computer networks.
