Learning outcomes

The student will obtain a good knowledge of technological architectures employed in the automation engineering and in particular in the industrial automation field; the student will be able to analyze control systems architectures both from a functional and from a technological viewpoint; the student will obtain a basic knowledge of computational architectures and real-time architectures employed in industrial automation including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), actuators; the student will also be able to design logic control (i.e. software for automation) employing IEC 61131 programming languages; the student will achieve good knowledge relative to the sizing of electric actuators for the design of automation machines.
