LEARNING OUTCOMES
After completing this module, student has competence on examination techniques CT Body with and without contrast medium, CT guided interventional techniques, special techniques anddentalscan . COURSE CONTENTS
Technological evolution of computed tomography: History. Basic principles: physical principles and characteristics of the image. Parameters TC: scan parameters (geometrical and exposure parameters), parameters reconstruction and display parameters. CT system components and technical characteristics, principles of traditional CT scanning, helical and multilayer. Optimization techniques, dose and image quality, technological evolution of CT multilayer and types of detector. Artifacts, development of digital acquisition system, principles and imaging techniques, process distributed visualization and image documentation. Body CT study methodologies: the main indications investigations, methods of acceptance and user identification, monitoring and evaluation of requests radiological, management and patient preparation, use of contrast media, procedures for patient positioning, mode and scan parameters, criteria of fairness and CT anatomy. Neck CT study protocols: CT rino and oropharynx, morphological study protocols, characterization of neck injuries and expansive processes of the salivary glands. CT pharyngolaryngeal and upper mediastinum. Morphological study protocols, functional larynx and expansive processes of the thyroid , parathyroid, thymus and imaging post-processing. CT angio of pots aortic, protocols of morphological and functional study and imaging post-processing. Chest CT study protocols: standard chest CT, morphological study protocols for diseases and disorders of the lung parenchyma, pleura, ribs, mediastinal structures, for evaluations of CT screening and hight resolution CT techniques.
