Course contents
Voices and female silence in the Middle Ages
The course aims at studying voices and female silence in significant works of literary genres in the Middle Ages: the lai, the medieval romance, the tale. Volountary or forced silence , such as Fresne, Griselda, Filomela, Silence, who are object of several types of violence, and manage to react; voices of knowledge, as Teodor, Tarsiana, woman musician and poet, and Medea.
