- Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Electrical Engineering (cod. 0933)
Learning outcomes
The course is aimed at providing students the skills necessary to adopt methods and instruments most suitable for performing measurements and tests on plants and electrical machinery. In particular, issues regarding the design and characterization of complex measurement systems and the main aspects of civil and industrial testing are addressed. The most important concepts of risk analysis and measurements for safety are also provided to the students. Experimental activities are an integral part of the course and are aimed to applying lessons learned during the classroom as well as to improve the student's ability to operate in full safety on electrical installations in medium voltage.
Course contents
Main topics covered:
▪ testing of machinery and electrical plants
▪ voltage and current transducers for high and medium voltage
▪ Methods and instruments for the measurement of periodic disturbances and transient
▪ measures for safety and risk analysis
▪ Smart meters: measures for smart grid.
The course is supplemented by laboratory exercises.
The program will be held at the end of the course available on AMS Campus.
