Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student has the concepts of equilibrium of the forces and of the strength of the materials.
In particular the student is able to: determine the equilibrium of the force in the plan, organize the experimental test on building materials, critically read the results of experimental tests in the view of the current standards.
Course contents
Rigid Bodies: static and kinematic analysis.
Introduction to stress and strain analysis.
Constitutive equations. Elastic body.
Realiability.
Structural materials: concrete, steel, brick, wood. Testing machines.
