Learning outcomes

Knowledge of incomitant alterations of ocular motility and of nystagmus: basic concepts on the nature of various types of paralysis and restrictive syndromes; diagnostic approach and treatment modalities; evaluation techniques for nystagmus; surgical and non-surgical treatment of nystagmus.

Course contents

Diagnosis of binocular cooperation: the concept of dissociation; tests of suppression and ofanomalous retinal correspondence; diagnosisof nornal and anomalous binocular vision.

Red glass test; synoptophore; Hess-lancaster screen; past-pointing.
