Learning outcomes

Astrodynamics specific topics will be presented. Motion dynamics and control of artificial orbital bodies, station keeping strategies, rendezvous problems and main orbital perturbations effects. 

Course contents

Astrodynamics equations, Lagrange equations, effects of orbital perturbations, J20,J22, Drag, solar radiation pressure, space debris cloud evolution, life time, reorbiting and deorbiting, sun pointing perigee, collision avoidance manouvers, Eulero Hill equations, orbit determination, gravity assist and aerogravity assist manouvers
