Academic Year 2011/2012

  • Docente: Gigliola Spadoni
  • Credits: 6
  • SSD: ING-IND/25
  • Language: Italian
  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures

  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Environmental Engineering (cod. 0939)

Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to deepen the design, the lay-out, the utilities and the managment of some processes for the treatment of pollutant streams (reduction of emission sources and waste managenment).

Course contents

for both modules of the course

Design of plants of waste treatment (incinerators and dumps) with attention to cost evaluation and of the sections of some typical plants of industry (for energy, for manufacture and chemical products, …) with quantitative evaluation of pollution sources (steady-state and accidental) on environment components (air, water and soil) and environmental dispersion.. Mathematical and physical-chemical models for predicting source emissions (storage,…) and environmental contamination if air, water and soil.
