Population, units and characters. Statistical distributions. Mean values. Variability measures. Statistical relationships. Statistical  inference.

Teaching methods

Direct lessons and individual exercises. Exercises aim to allow students to tackle with the statistical analysis of quantitative data.

Assessment methods

Non-attending students : a written exam consisting of 8 closed and 5 open questions. Time allowed: 70 minutes. .
Attending students: assessment and discussion of individual tests produced during and at the end of the course.
