Learning outcomes
Students will be acquainted with the most important models of
morphology.he will be able to understand the relationship between
morphology and phonology, syntax and semantics. He will also be
able to distinguish typological differences among various
languages. Students will acquire the necessary tools in order to
analyze the morphology of a language: compounds, derived words and
inflected words.
Course contents
Grammar and Morphology. Morpheme and Word. Lexical repreentations.
Word Formation Rules. Compounding. Readjustment rules. The notion
of Head. Conditions on the word formation rules. Rule interaction.
Some special cases. Typology.

Teaching methods
