Learning outcomes

The aim is to provide basic mathematical notions for elementary economic, financial and statistical applications: differential and integral calculus (functions of one variable), differential calculus (functions of two variables) and matrix calculus.

Course contents

1. Functions. Sequences.
2. Limits and continuity.
3. Differential calculus. Taylor expansions. Stationary points. Maxima and minima.
4. Integrals. Indefinite integral. Definite integral.
5. Matrix calculus. Systems of linear algebraic equations. Cramer's formula.
