Learning outcomes

The student will study the main classical sociological theories relevant for the developement of a sociological view of the law. He can also understand in a sociological and economical perspective the main problems of the Italian job market, and the significant changes that occurred in the last decades.

Course contents

The first part of the course will deal with the main legal, philosophical and sociological movements which gave a major contribution to the developement of a sociological view of the law, to the foundation and develeopement of legal sociology itself, and to the main methodologies used in the empirical research.

The second part of the course will deal with some of the most important sociological aspects of the Italian job market, live unemployment, femal occupation and activity, immigrants' occupation and so on.
