Course contents

The aim of this course is to shortly review the major changes which took place in the organization of the market of transport activities (by sea, air, road and rail as well as mail services) during the last twenty five years within the national, regional and international legal regulatory framework. In particularly, the attention and the determination of the European Commission in clarifying the conditions for considering public financial support of the different transport activities compatible with Community law. The second part of the course will examine the application of competition rules to the port sector and all the recent developments in sea ports' privatizations.

Teaching methods

An intensive participation to the lessons and the work-shops is strongly recommended. Finally, it is important not forget that the lessons will be carried during the first term and that the final oral examinations start from January.
