Course contents
Writing the Body between Aestheticism and Shock.
This course analyzes the thematic presence of the body in twentieth century Italian poetry. In particular, it focuses on the poetic production of the early decades of the century and on the poetry of the Sixties.
By drawing a parallel between authors and contemporary literary theories, students will deepen their knowledge of Italian history and culture, as well as their ability to critically analyze poetical texts.
The poets taken into account are Gabriele D'Annunzio, Clemente Rebora, Antonio Porta and Andrea Zanzotto.Readings/Bibliography
