Learning outcomes

According to the Common European Framework of  Reference, B1 level enable students to reach the following communicative skills:

  • Comprehension of oral speeches and written tests about family, work, school, free-time, etc.;
  • Oral and written production typical of linguistic situations related to journeys in foreign countries aimed at studying or making research, etc;
  • Reporting experiences or events, describing situations (such as wishes, hopes, objectives etc.), and providing reasons and brief explanations related to an idea or a project;
  • Expressing simple and coherent opinions related to personal interests.

Teaching methods

In order to prepare attitude tests, the linguistic center (CLIRO) organizes blended modules made up as follows:

  • Group work (traditional lessons with exercises, activities, grammar and lexical explanations on the base of all the topics of the E-learning Platform)
  • Discussion forums to interact on-line with tutors and other students
  • Exercises and practice through the CLIRO E-learning Platform

Assessment methods

The final exam will consist in a 60 minutes computerised written test.

Sample tests are available on the CLIRO AlfaCert platform.
