Learning outcomes
The course has the aim to give an adeguate competence of the historical evolution, principles and fundamental institutes related to the environmental defence regulations as well as to provide strong grounding in fundamental institutes of administrative law.
The general objective is not just to achieve a specific knowledge of the subjects as such, but to enhance the development of a critical ability based on the analisys of the legal aspects related to the issues deriving from the management of territory and environment.

· Administrative and environmental law (subjective legal cases; sources; administrative organization; public assets; administrative activity; administrative procedure)
Principles and tools of the international environmental law
Principles and tools of the EU environmental law
The national environmental law
a) General part
· Evolution, principles and tools
· The organization: the role of the State (Ministry of the Environment), of the Regions, of the local Bodies and Environmental Defence Associations
· Tools and administrative procedures: the assessment of the environmental impact; the integrated environmental authorization; the environmental disaster; environmental information
· Tools of economic and mutual agreement: environmental certifications, system of marks; environmental agreements
b) Sector disciplines
· Defence from pollution
· Territory defence
· Defence and management of resources (specifically referred to mineral and energy resources)

Teaching methods
It consists of distinct modules in which the professor will explain the topics of the program as well as stimulate critical observations by students.
During the course written tests will be made which are not relevant to the final exam.
During the course the professor himself will provide some duplicated lecture notes.
Assessment methods
The final examination consists of an oral test whose aim is to check the objectives have been achieved.
Moreover, the examination aims to check the levels achieved in the ability of reflection and in the mastery of the language of law.
