Conoscenze e abilità da conseguire
At the end of the TPV, students are able to integrate the knowledge acquired during the Master Programme and autonomously exercise it, with particular reference to: • Adopt appropriated cognitive assessment protocols to individuals with multiple ethnic and cultural backgrounds • Planning interventions on psychological diseases in the light of neural plasticity and cognitive processes with a rehabilitation purpose • Appropriate use of quantitative and qualitative methods in the investigation of well-being and inclusivity issues and psychometric tools in psychological assessment • Set interventions on biological and social vulnerability and atypical development of children and adolescents also through the adoption of technologies in education contexts. • Identify problems and set interventions by adopting socio-cognitive and intergroup relational strategies to reduce prejudice and promote social inclusivity of minority groups and migrants. • design, implement and assess psychological interventions aimed to organizations’ wellbeing • Recognition of symptoms for main DSM-V child psychopathological conditions and their treatment. • Planning well-being interventions relying on clinical models in addressing mental health and chronic diseases linked to longevity using the conceptual and methodological framework of clinimetrics.
Contenuti
The TPV contents include the following activities:
- Activities in the presence of the tutor: development of a test battery containing both validated and ad-hoc created tools for the evaluation of psychological dimensions; data collection and statistical testing of validity and reliability of the tools used; discussion of the practical implications of the results obtained; design and evaluation of the outcomes of an intervention aimed at promoting psychosocial well-being in the adult population.
- Activities with progressive autonomy under the supervision of the tutor: research of quantitative measurement tools in the literature; data collection and statistical testing of validity and reliability of the tools used; simulation of the reporting of the obtained results; design and evaluation of the outcomes of an intervention aimed at promoting psychosocial well-being in the adult population; drafting of illustrative reports on the reference context, the pursued objectives, the methods and tools used, the obtained results; preparation of the informed consent and data treatment module for participants in accordance with professional ethics.
The professional application contexts are research and social and community contexts. The intervention area is applied research in psychology in the social field.
The target audience for the activity includes the general adult population, groups, and local communities.
The professional tools that the intern will acquire are the following: development, administration, analysis, and practical application of self-assessment psychometric tools, and use of software for statistical analysis.

Metodi didattici
The methods used to achieve the competencies include: participation in discussions with the tutor, practical demonstrations and simulations, group activities with other interns, guided activities supervised by the tutor, and activities performed with increasing autonomy under delayed supervision by the tutor.
The location of the activity is the Department of Psychology "Renzo Canestrari," Bologna campus.
Modalità di verifica e valutazione dell'apprendimento
The tutor will evaluate the skills acquired by the intern both during and at the conclusion of the internship using a standardized procedure prepared by the Department of Psychology. This will result in the assignment of a qualification valid for access to the PPV.
