Mission
Ensure the interconnection of all student career management activities, overseeing the legal, guidance and administrative aspects, as well as all benefits and facilities for the right to study and inclusive measures for the entire student community.

Main activities
- Implement the University's policies, plan and manage interventions to ensure the right to education and services to improve students' study and living conditions.
- Design and manage services for students with disabilities and specific learning disorders.
- Coordinate the technical and administrative processes supporting the definition of policies related to student contributions.
- Promote initiatives aimed at broadening the cultural horizons of students, stimulating personal interests also during leisure time, in a vision of overall personality development.
- Design initiatives and partnerships and develop agreements with external public and private bodies concerning student services.
- Maintain relations with the Student Council.
- Administratively support the activities of the Student Ombudsman.
- Manage the procedures relating to the careers of students enrolled in first-, second- and single-cycle programmes and foster widespread information on all related issues (e.g.: registration, enrolment for admission tests, choice of examinations, programme changes and transfers, submission of degree applications).
- Ensure effective and efficient career management for students by also ensuring the connection with the University's Areas (including the Campuses) and external parties involved in the relevant processes

- Ensure the functional coordination with Campus administration offices with regard to standardisation and automation of activities and processes.
- Promote and manage career support services for specific target groups of students, for an inclusive and caring community (alias careers, student athletes, etc.)
- Monitor quality of service through customer satisfaction surveys
- Ensure liaison with the areas concerned for the extraction and processing of statistical data relating to students' careers (ANS database, MUR databases, etc.).
- Ensure the management of disciplinary proceedings of all students enrolled in programmes at the University.
- Design and manage careers guidance for incoming, resident and outgoing students.
- Manage activities relating to international students' access to courses of all different levels; temporary access to the University of Bologna by international teachers, scholars and researchers; hospitality of international exchange students; develop services designed for all types of international students.
