The Department of Legal Studies will assist students by providing research training through the research methods courses run at Departmental level, through the Law Department research seminars. This consists of presentations concentrating on the methodological problems of legal and socio-legal research, by members of staff, visiting speakers and research students. Students are expected to attend the seminars and give presentations on their work. Since PhD candidates are expected to consolidate general legal skills studies developed at the their undergraduate and LLM levels and develop top research skills in a chosen specific area of inquiry, the following activities are expected:
- Seminars mainly devoted to broad or general legal topics
- Reading groups and specialized seminars for each curriculum in the programme.
- Internationalization features
- PhD students research periods abroad
- PhD students participation in international seminars and workshops
- visiting professors panels and seminars at the Department of Legal Studies
- scientific collaborations with European and international Universities
