Learning outcomes

  • Gain competences on climate change and its impact on biodiversity
  • Understand the dynamics of interactions between climate and biodiversity
  • Develop competences in the ideation, analysis and evaluation of climate change impact mitigation actions

Course contents

Students will work in multidisciplinary groups to build an elevator pitch with the aim of presenting their own idea to address one problem connected to climate change impacts.

The lessons will consist of a series of individual and group activities to reach the final objective of the elevator pitch.

All the material will be provided by the teacher and uploaded on the Virtuale platform

Teaching methods

Brainstorming, individual and group practical activities inspired to desing-thinking, elevator pitch. After the end of frontal lessons, there will be a daily field trip, together with the professors of other modules, to visit examples of mitigation and adaptation interventions in some sites within the region, which are exposed to vulnerabillities related to climate change.
