Learning outcomes
Knoweledge of status of art on Italian Market on the adoption of new rules on sustainability.
Main regulation on sustainability in particular on Banking Market.
Course contents
The course will address the topic of sustainability not only from a regulatory perspective but will also provide an end-to-end view of the current state of the art in ESG/Green issues in the Italian market. This will be achieved through a series of testimonials from practitioners who will share their experiences in the following areas:
- Banking (with a focus on Risk Management): The presentation will offer insight into how banks are adapting their traditional risk measurement frameworks to account for new ESG risks.
- Rating Agency: The testimony will provide an understanding of the underlying principles of ESG ratings and the process followed within a rating agency to complete the credit assessment of companies.
- Energy: During the testimony, participants will learn about the approach with an "ecosystem" perspective in evaluating the sustainability chain of a company operating in the energy sector.
- Consultancy Firms: An overview will be provided on the guidance provided to companies on the journey towards sustainability.
- Climate-Tech: Two climate-tech start-ups will share their experiences in approaching sustainability.
Finally, through an interactive group session, students will be tasked with creating their own report on a specific sustainability-related topic.

Teaching methods
Most of the lessons will be frontal. Online lessons will be clearly identified within the course calendar.
Assessment methods
At the end of the course, students will be required to take a consisting of writing an essay on a topic chosen from those proposed, which will cover the main subjects discussed during the various seminars.
The classroom test will last 45 minutes.
