Learning outcomes

After completing this module, the student has the knowledge of the code of ethics and professional ethics of the radiographer, act on the transfer of competences and types of communication in the profession.

Course contents

Legislative developments and professional profile. Definitions of ethics and professional ethics, sources of inspiration of the code of ethics for health professional.

The deontology code of the radiographer and ethical principles on which it is based.

Ethics and deontology "practice" in the workplace.

Demand analysis in radiology: acquisition of interpersonal and communication skills in the profession through the helping relationship.

Concepts of professional responsibility.

Teaching methods

Analysis of reference documents and classroom discussion.

The identified methodology involves the use of software applications for the preparation of a shared document that will be presented in plenary, after which further insights will be provided by the instructor.

Lectures and discussion of topics covered during the lessons or arising from the students themselves.

Various professional situations that may occur during daily professional practice will be analyzed.

Assessment methods

The student will have to demonstrate that he has understood his future role as a medical radiology technician, through the creation of a text shared with a small group of classmates.

Presentations in .pdf format provided by the teacher on topics covered in class, in-depth documents on topics discussed in .pdf format.

Possible projection of videos concerning situations and topics covered in class.
