In English:
- Merrill's Atlas of Radiographic Positioning and Procedures 12th Edition - Authors Eugene Frank, Bruce Long, and Barbara Smith – 3 volumi
Teaching methods
Interactive lessons with simulations; discussions on xray views. Clinical reasoning and problem based learning.
Assessment methods
A written assignment with open questions is to be completed as preparation for the oral exam. The written exam will present an x-ray image of a specific body area which the student must identify. The student is expected to explain the techniques and tools used to obtain this x-ray view and the projection technique applied. Furthermore, the student must describe the anatomical parts visible in the x-ray image and the clinical reasons for using such a projection. In the second part of the assignment, a clinical question will be presented requiring the student to propose a study technique. In the third part, the student's knowledge of a particular technique explained in class will be assessed.
Teaching tools
Frontal interactive lectures, simulations case, projection and display of radiographs performed in radiology.
TEACHING TOOLS
PC, projector, light box and dolls and phantoms.Office hours
