Learning outcomes

Mod.1:The student will acquire knowledge regarding the main applications of tissue engineering in joint reconstructive surgery and the state of the art of orthobiological treatments to prevent the application of end stage procedures and in the field of sports medicine Mod.2:The student will acquire knowledge about the main conservative and surgical therapeutic options relating to minimally invasive technologies in the treatment of orthopedic pathologies involving the hip, knee, and ankle. Mod.3: The student will acquire knowledge about the principles of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of orthopedic traumas relating to the musculoskeletal system with particular attention to computer-assisted surgery and the most innovative technological solutions. Students will have the opportunity to understand and evaluate how new technologies, artificial intelligence and robotics are playing an increasingly important role in the treatment of musculoskeletal pathologies in orthopedics.

Course contents

In this elective course, students will be able to develop their skills in the latest surgical techniques for the approach of hip, knee and ankle pathologies.

The achievement of eligibility is subject to attendance at lessons for at least 90% of the course.
