They will demonstrate independent proficiency in these techniques as per medical prescription without contrast. Additionally, they will perform these techniques in a controlled and autonomous manner and develop interpersonal skills.

During the internship, the student will undergo an initial orientation period to become familiar with radiology tools and the hospital environment. The second part of the internship will involve the student being fully immersed in first aid diagnostics, emergency procedures, orthopedic diagnostics, breast medicine, contrast imaging diagnostics, surgical procedures, urological and orthopedic operating rooms, bedside examinations, and dental diagnostics. Additionally, one week of the internship is reserved for the MOC.

Assessment methods
The internship exam involves performing an emergency x-ray exam in emergency department. The student will be given a prescription from the emergency room and will need to independently carry out a radiographic examination of a specific area such as the osteoarticular system, chest, or abdomen without using contrast medium. The student should be able to discuss the criteria for correctness and the physics underlying the x-ray process. Additionally, they need to be familiar with the appropriate exposure data and be able to discuss methods for reducing radiation doses as per Legislative Decree 187/2000 and 101/2020
Teaching tools
Conventional radiology instruments are provided by the healthcare companies of AUSL Romagna (Public Health Care System), particularly from Rimini healthcare. Each student is equipped with a dosimeter, identification cards, marker letters, timestamps badge used in all hospitals of AUSL Romagna, a locker to change uniforms, and separate locker rooms for men and women. There is also the option to eat at the Self-service Hospital where the internship takes place. Each student is assigned to a diagnostic and a tutor.
