Learning outcomes

At the end of the module, the student knows the basic elements (terms, concepts and methods) for the analysis of the structure, functions and textual organization of the Italian language; is able to understand, analyze and produce a wide range of texts written in Italian; will be able to autonomously develop further knowledge and higher-level metalinguistic and communicative skills and apply them to other linguistic phenomena and to other Italian texts.

Course contents

The course is divided in two modules: module A on contemporary italian (topics of Italian grammar and standard varieties of language); module B on Textual linguistics (and writing seminar).

Attendance is not mandatory. If you decide to not attend, please tell the teacher via mail.

INCOMING STUDENTS: The course held by prof. Gatta requires a good knoledge of italian Language. There is one other course "Lingua italiana " (6 cfu, first semester) expressly created for incoming students. Incoming students who wish to attend the course of Italian linguistics are kindly requested to contact prof. Gatta at the beginning of the lessons, during her office hours. .

Module A: Final written test on the course contents.

Module B: intermediate test and final test. If you dont't take the final test, you must take the final exam together with module A test.

 

If you do not attend the lessons, you have to sbmitt the written exercises of the book Prima di tradurre and the MOOC badge and you have to take both exams together, module A and module B.
