Learning outcomes
At the end of the module, the student knows the basic elements of the Spanish language; he/she is able to understand and produce written texts and oral discourse, expressing him/herself with relative fluency and spontaneity. The skills achieved at the end of the first year are roughly at the B1 level of the CEFR.
Course contents
Module II involves the study of the Spanish language following Module I of “language with oral written practical exercises (second Spanish language).” The aim will be to use correctly and effectively the notions and knowledge acquired in the first semester so that students develop the linguistic, metalinguistic and communicative skills of the Spanish language.
Building on the knowledge acquired during the first semester, Module II will propose the analysis and study of grammatical topics affecting the different linguistic levels (morphosyntactic and discursive). The main contrastive aspects between Spanish and Italian will always be emphasized, using a communicative approach at all times. The Spanish described will be mainly international or neutral Spanish (written and oral), but without ever losing sight of the main American issues at both grammatical and lexical levels.
The Module is complemented by the Spanish Language Lectorate taught by Rubén Tortosa Sánchez (https://www.unibo.it/sitoweb/ruben.tortosa) with 70 % compulsory attendance.
Culture will be present in each of the tools provided in the course and lectorate methodology: from the examples offered during the language descriptions to the texts and audios used by the lecturers as resources for comprehension and as a cue to stimulate further communication processes on the part of the students.

Teaching methods
The Spanish Language module with practical written and oral exercises II (second language), with an attendance requirement of 70%, in addition to the frontal didactic activity, will have a seminar character, so the active participation of all students is required both during the lectures and in relation to the exercises proposed by the lecturers through the use of audiovisual materials and the Internet.
Assessment methods
The final test of the Spanish Language Module with written and oral practical exercises I (second language) provides a verification of the acquisition of theoretical content and language skills and is composed of: a written test (grammar + written production) and an oral test (interview on the topics included in the program and a brief presentation of the book read).
Passing the written test (with a minimum grade of 18/30) is compulsory for access to the oral test, in which pronunciation and oral production skills will be tested.
