Learning outcomes
: At the end of course the student will know the methods and criteria to design renovation, restoration and refurbishment solutions for the building heritage.
Course contents
The course BUILDING RENOVATION PROJECT is part of the integrated course BUILDING RENOVATION WORKSHOP I.C.It involves practical activities on the topic of built heritage renovation - conducted according to the theoretical principles taught in the HISTORIC BUILDING TECHNIQUES course - with a focus on the technical and construction issues related to structural safety and energy efficiency of existing buildings.Workshop activities specifically cover construction analysis, performance characterization, and design of renovation of part of a masonry building located in Central Italy, chosen as a representative case study.
