Students will gain scientific and technical aspects  of seed of agronomical species, including seed biology and seed technology.

Prerequisites

Fundamentals of seed biology and agronomy.

Introduction

Role of seed science and seed technology in the modern agriculture.

Seed biology and physiology.

Floral induction, flower development and seed formation.

Seed dormancy and seed germination processes.

Seed production and agronomical aspects

Environmental and agronomicals  factors affecting seed production.

Seed technology and seed treatment.

Seed sampling and analysis.
