At the end of the course the student must be able to define shift patterns of the staff based on the needs of the service and the availability of human resources.

Assessment methods
At the end of the course, students are invited to submit, in groups of 4 people, a written paper that, starting from a concrete case of reorganization of the care model of an operating unit/ service in hospital/ territorial provided by the teacher, describes the implications regarding quantification of resources, organization of working hours, possible changes and solutions for rotation of shifts, verification of the scheduled time with contractual obligations.
The paper must be based on a given format provided by the lecturer and must be emailed to the lecturer at least 10 days before the date of the exam.
The evaluation of the paper will take into account the consistency of the contents with respect to the delivery of the topic and the objectives assigned, their completeness and scientific correctness, the articulation between the various phases of the paper and the support of bibliographical references.
The test is considered to have been passed with a minimum score of 18/30.
Grading of final mark
Complete content and responsive to the proposed theme, coherence and balance between the different phases of the paper, complete mastery of specific terminology and presence of a bibliography relevant to the theme = vote 30-30 cum laude
Suitable content and responsive to the proposed theme, good consistency and balance between the different stages of the work, correct mastery of specific terminology and good bibliographic support = vote 26-29
Contents not too far from the proposed theme, acceptable coherence and balance between the different phases of the work and in the mastery of specific terminology; substantial bibliographical references = vote 22-25
Generic content in relation to the proposed theme, sufficient coherence between the different stages of the work, limited mastery of specific terminology and essential bibliographical references = grade 18-21
Content not suitable for the proposed theme, lack of coherence and balance between the different phases of the paper, inadequacy of scientific language and limited bibliographic support = insufficient
The test will be carried out according to the indications contained in the University regulations (which you are invited to consult) and according to any other indications provided from time to time by the academic bodies.
