Learning outcomes
At the end of the Course, the student will know the main stages children development. A comprehensive view of main pediatric and neonatal disease will be provided, especially those that can benefit from early educational-rehabilitative treatment involving the family unit. The student will also know the main practices to follow to ensure suitable support and monitoring child development in the healthcare setting.
Course contents
The topics of the course are divided into two main branches focused on the newborn and the pediatric patient.
For each of these, we will address the main physiological and developmental characteristics, pathophysiology, and diagnostic-therapeutic framework of the pathologies characterizing neonates and children. Particular attention is given to identifying pathologies that can most benefit from early educational-rehabilitative treatment, with the aim of providing a clear view of the normal developmental stages of the neonate and child, necessary to ensure appropriate support and monitoring in the healthcare field.
