Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student acquires knowledges about: - basic pharmacology and toxicology for the prevention and maintenance of health in relation to environment and lifestyles, across the lifespan; - the various relationship issues between drug use and objective and subjective factors of wellness and health as well as life quality.

Natural and built environment affecting human health
Hazard identification, risk perception, risk and safety management
DRUG USE in INDIVIDUALS
How drugs act in individuals
Factors modifying the effects of drugs: age, gender, life style and diseases
Pharmacological and toxicological aspects of drug abuse
QUALITY of LIFE (QoL) and WELL-BEING of INDIVIDUALS
Concepts of QoL, objective and subjective Well-being
Quantitative measurement: human development index, world happiness report and other measures

Assessment methods
The final exam will consist of a written test. Four themes will be selected from a predefined list related to the topics covered in Module 1 (Environment and health) and Module 2 (Drugs and health) courses, which you can access via UNIBO's virtual spaces (https://virtuale.unibo.it/ ).
The student will have 80 minutes to complete the written test on https://eol.unibo.it/ .
The final mark is the sum of the score obtained for each theme. The maximum score for each theme is 8. A final score of 31 or higher is praised.
To take the exam, you need to register on Almaesami (https://almaesami.unibo.it/almaesami/welcome.htm ).
