Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student acquires the essential knowledge for the treatment of oncological pain. A strictly theoretical section on the pathophysiology of pain is followed by a series of lectures on the composition, combination, and sequencing of analgesic drugs, and on drug administration techniques. Particular attention will be dedicated to the area of opioids, in which specific topics such as pharmacogenomics, titration, administration methods, efficacy evaluation, and constant dose adjustment techniques will be addressed.
