Learning outcomes
The theme of Seminar 3 changes every year but is always aimed at providing students with in-depth insights into scientific and instrumental innovations in the field of plant protection against adversities, mainly of biotic nature, through contributions from external experts to UNIBO, both academic and technical.
Course contents
The Seminar 3 for the current academic year 2024-2025 will be dedicated to some Innovative methods of distributing plant protection products and will feature contributions from academic and regional experts.
It will take place over 2-3 mornings in May 2025.
The first date, the 8th of May (from 9:00 to 12:30 AM), will be dedicated to fixed-point distribution (generally through localized irrigation systems) on vineyards and apple orchards, with presentations by Dr. Cristiano Baldoin from the University of Padua and Dr. Daniel Bondesan from the Fondazione Mach in the province of Trento.
The second day is the morning of May 22 (from 9:00 to 12:30 AM). The two planned presentations (by Prof. Paolo Gay from the University of Turin and Dr. Loredana Antoniacci from the Phytosanitary Service of the Emilia-Romagna Region) will address the topic of distribution using drones.

Teaching methods
The seminar will take place in room 14 of Distal, Viale Fanin 44.
Assessment methods
Based on documented active participation through questions and comments of the students to the invited experts
Teaching tools
Personal computer and video projector. The teaching material presented is made available to the students in Virtuale. Access to material is granted only to students enrolled in the seminar.
