Constant and active participation is strongly recommended. However, those who cannot actively participate can still take the examination as non-attendees with a slightly different syllabus.

Assessment methods

The exam aims to ascertain the achievement of the following learning objectives:
1. in-depth knowledge of the topics illustrated during the lectures and/or learned through the readings
2. ability to critically elaborate on these themes
3. ability to apply the topics learned to concrete contexts in the educational field
4. Language appropriateness
5. ability to work across disciplines.

Examination methods
open-ended structured written test

Students attending the entire integrated course (12 CFU) will be offered the opportunity to take two modules, Pedagogy 1 and Pedagogy 2 together in a single oral examination. In addition, attendees students may take an intermediate examination. Passing this intermediate examination halves the programme for the final examination. Alternatively, it is always possible to take a single oral final examination.

Assessment criteria:
The exam aims to verify the student's ability to apply the knowledge learnt and to make the necessary logical-deductive connections.

In particular, the following will be assessed in increasing order of importance
1. the completeness of knowledge in connection with the topics addressed in the course and/or in the readings;
2. the personal ability to apply the topics learned to concrete cases
3. The ability to think critically and independently based on an understanding of the topics addressed
4. the appropriateness of language
5. the ability to engage in interdisciplinary reflection.

On the basis of the above criteria, the assessment will be divided into thirtieths:

Preparation on a very limited number of topics dealt with in the course and ability to analyse which only emerges with the help of the instructor, expression in language generally correct, insufficient ability to critically review → 18-19;
Preparation on a limited number of topics covered in the course and ability to analyse independently only on purely executive issues, little ability to apply knowledge to concrete cases, expression in barely correct language → 20-24;
Comprehensive preparation on a large number of topics covered in the course, ability to make autonomous critical analysis choices, mastery of specific terminology, ability to link topics to concrete cases and other disciplines → 25-29
Fully comprehensive preparation on the topics covered in the course, ability to make autonomous choices of critical analysis and linking, excellent critical and autonomous thinking skills, full command of specific terminology and ability to argue and self-reflect → 30-30L.
