Learning outcomes

Moving from the description of business organization models and theories, students will get familiar with different aspects of healthcare services, both from a national and international perspective.

Students will also learn about the main tools of the clinical governance and operation management.

Course contents

History of organization theories and cultural models of the organizations from the industrial revolution to modern times, with discussion on case studies.

Descriptions of different models and performance measurements of the EU health care services.

National Healthcare Service and regional laws.

Clinical governance, knowledge management, certification and accreditation, risk management.
