Teaching methods
Computer lab sessions using SAS.
Assessment methods
In order to pass the examination, students must create groups of 3-4 people max. Each group will be assigned a project from a list provided by the teacher before the end of the course. For the project, each group will carry out a statistical analysis using SAS. Before the examination takes place, each group will send the analysis to the teacher in powerpoint format, containing:
the objectives of the analysis
the description of the dataset used;
the SAS code used; and
the interpretation of the results
The examination consists of a powerpoint presentation of the analysis. The assessment will be carried out on an individual basis (i.e. not in groups), and will also be based on the verification of the knowledge acquired through individual questions on the programming rules in SAS.
Non-attending students will be able to choose a dataset of their choice and bring the corresponding analysis (RMK: to be agreed by e-mail with the teacher before the exam).
