Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student is able to know how to sample and measure the main risk factors present in the living and working environments; exercise the knowledge acquired at a theoretical level which can then be implemented in the internship activities.
Course contents
- The health and safety requirements of the workplace
- Administrative and PG documents on occupational health and safety and related forms (Circular RER 10/2014, sanctions extinction procedure (Legislative Decree 758), administrative sanctions and criminal seizures)
- The investigation activity in investigations for accidents at work. Operating procedures and documentary acts.
- Risk management in confined or suspected pollution workplaces.
- The obligations regarding education and training on safety in the workplace according to current legislation and the State-Regions Agreements.
- Personal protective equipment. The certification regulations, the characteristics and the protection requirements.
- Health and safety signs in the workplace.
- The risk of exposure for workers to asbestos fibers: documentation, safety procedures and techniques applicable in the remediation, removal and disposal of asbestos.

Teaching materials made available by the teacher on professionalising topics regarding health and safety in the places of life and work.
Teaching methods
Lectures and case presentations on the professional subjects covered.
Assessment methods
Administration of questionnaire consisting of 30 multiple choice questions and 1 open question, on prevention issues addressed in educational workshops. The exam will be passed if the student correctly answers the open question and at least 20 multiple choice questions.
