Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student: - has an active and passive basic knowledge of the Spanish language. In particular, the student is able to - read, take notes, follow a discussion in Spanish - deal with specialised political and media language in Spanish-speaking cultures

Teaching methods

THE COURSE WILL BEGIN IN THE 2nd SEMESTER (2025) and will be structured in hours with tutors and 30 hours with the course lecturer, Amparo Alemany Martínez.


This course and programme is intended for students attending in the second semester 2025.


Monographic course (Prof. Amparo Alemany Martínez): Lectures and cooperative learning. Lectures will require the active participation of students through discussions, presentations and various exercises (see tutoring courses).


*The teaching languages will be Spanish and Italian


Tutorato: The tutorato in Spanish, attendance of which is highly recommended for the learning of basic language skills, aims to convey to students the characteristics and peculiarities of Spanish as a foreign language, developing in a practical manner the four language skills up to the A2 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages, providing students with the necessary technical and cultural tools and deepening linguistic skills in order to favour a more conscious learning of the Spanish language.

Assessment methods

Assesment methods:


Spanish language exams (attending and non-attending): the exam will consist of a grammar and monograph paper composed of 42 (21+21) multiple-choice questions, and will take place at the end of the course, in Semester 2.
