At the end of the module the student knows the research methodology and is able to identify specific areas of intervention.
Course contents
Prerequisites: The contents of the Evidence applied to nursing practice and Statistics/Informatics laboratories
Objectives: At the end of the module the student will have acquired knowledge and skills relating to the research process and the main study designs, and will be able to use the knowledge on research to develop the thesis project, in particular identifying the research question research and develop it within the different methodologies for the preparation of one's thesis, read, evaluate and use the research for the purposes of its application in nursing practice and the preparation of one's degree thesis

Teaching methods
Acquisition of theoretical contents through: individual study structured and guided by online materials [on virtual] and classroom teaching through interactive lessons with reasoning on the work done at home on the main theoretical contents, exercises, guided classroom work and/or group work with review and integration in plenary Virtual insertion for all students of teaching material before lessons: lesson slides, documents (open access articles, examples of protocols), schemes for mandated exercises (on PICO processing, and/or background, review protocol and/or protocol descriptive study/case study) Possibility of small group meetings for students with the need for integration in presence/on Teams (at the request of students)
Assessment methods
The evaluation, as part of the integrated course, includes:
- the written preparation of a research protocol, according to a predefined scheme shared in the classroom, to be delivered up to 30 days before the exam session, configured as proof of suitability to be able to carry out the test
- Closed-ended written assessment test. N. 15 questions + 1 supplementary question valid for Honors, with n. 4 possible choices
