Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the module, the student possesses the ability to apply knowledge and understanding regarding the main models of interpretation of motor development, child motor behavior and its variability. Identifies the preventive and rehabilitative needs of the child affected by major developmental disorders through the various assessment methods. Knows the tools that can be used to achieve the identified goals. Is able to design and perform interventions targeted at satisfying the previously mentioned needs.

The physiological development of the child: from gestation to early life.



The preterm infant:

Evaluation and treatment of the most frequent orthopedic disorders in childhood:
- Myogenic torticollis and positional torticollis


- Positional occipital plagiocephaly


- Congenital clubfoot and positional varus supinated foot


- Flatfoot


- Idiopathic Toe Walking


- Brachial plexus injuries


- Scoliosis
