Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student knows the statistical and statistical-epidemiological methodologies applied to the biomedical and clinical-assistance fields as well as to health planning and to the organization and management of health services. Knows the basic and general methodologies and tools of information technology that provide the conceptual and technological basis for the organization, management and access to information and knowledge.
Course contents
Introduction to statistics. Type of data. Absolute, relative, percentage and cumulative frequency distributions. Data representation. Synthesis measures: algebraic and loose means. Measures of variability. Double distributions. Main association measures. Elements of epidemiology: prevalence, incidence. Workshop on spreadsheet and application of theoretical concepts

The course consists of hours of lectures alternated with hours of computer lab for the application of the proposed theoretical principles. At the end of the cycle of lessons, the student will have to take an ongoing test in the classroom, the result of which will form an integral part of the final exam evaluation.

Assessment methods
