Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students attain a knowledge (morpho-syntactic and lexical) of French corresponding to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Course contents
At the end of the course, the student achieves a knowledge (morpho-syntactic and lexical) of the French language corresponding to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages.
During the course, the grammatical content necessary for understanding and producing complex periods and short texts will be covered, such as the modes and verb tenses of the gerund, the participle and the subjunctive and the construction of the hypothetical period, prepositions and textual connectives useful for structuring a text. Through the analysis of various documents (texts, videos and songs) the vocabulary will be expanded and enriched.
PLEASE NOTE: A full mastery of the contents of the French 1 course is required to take French 2.

The lecturer will provide other materials that will be punctually uploaded on the course virtual page.
Teaching methods
The lessons will consist of a part of frontal explanation of the grammar topics and a part of the students' performance and correction of grammar exercises.
In the classroom, reading of texts, watching videos and listening to short audio documents in French will be proposed for comprehension and commentary exercises.
Guided dialogue and oral production activities will be proposed to help students develop the communicative skills required by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for level B2.
Class attendance is strongly recommended. Non-attending students should consult all the materials made available on the course virtual page.
Assessment methods
Written examination (1 hour) consisting of a part grammar exercises and a short written production.

Texts, videos and audio documents provided by the lecturer during the course and uploaded on the Virtual Course Page.
